truSculpt flex is a muscle-sculpting treatment that can be adjusted to suit your personal fitness level, shape and goals. Your muscles can be strengthened, firmed and toned to match and enhance your physique! The technology is comfortable, safe and effective with clinical studies showing an average of 30% muscle mass increase in participants1. This increase in muscle mass can be important not only for those individuals seeking a more muscular-appearing body, but for individuals who have lost muscle mass from inactivity due to injury or surgery, or for individuals who have undergone rapid weight loss as with weight loss surgery or the use of Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medications such as semaglutide.
How Does It Work?
truSculpt® flex can contour your body through muscle toning. The advanced Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS) technology uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscles to contract. This stimulation replicates the results of crunching, squatting and twisting actions to increase strength, range of motion, prevent muscle atrophy, and counteract the effects of a sedentary lifestyle or non-use of those muscles, like after surgery or in cases of weakness or paralysis. By stimulating the muscles directly, rather than the nerves, more muscle fibers are stimulated than in normal exercises2. Although A fit adult could perform up to 100 crunches before reaching a point of exhaustion. During a forty-five-minute truSculpt flex treatment, a fit adult could perform the equivalent of up to 54,000 crunches.3 In other words, a 45-minute truFlex treatment provides many more muscle contractions than can be achieved during an aggressive workout session.
During a truSculpt flex treatment or any hard workout, the muscle fibers sustain tiny, microscopic injuries. As the muscle cells heal from the stress or injury, there is hypertrophy or an increase in the size and strength of the muscle4. In sports medicine, muscle stimulation is frequently used to improve muscular strength when training, warming up or recovering from injury2. This direct muscle stimulation can also be used in the treatment of chronic low back pain that is unresponsive to physical therapy, chiropractic manipulations, and pain management injections2. It has been shown to lead to both clinically and statistically significant improvements in lumbar flexion and core muscular endurance and strength2.
How Does This Differ From Other Muscle-Sculpting Treatments?
truSculpt flex has several advantages over other muscle-sculpting treatments:
- Faster — In just one 45-minute session, up to eight areas can be treated.
- Safer — The truControl™ technology uses less energy and delivers safe and consistent results with targeted, selective and adjustable delivery.
- Effective — Your personal goals can be met with the three treatment mode options.
